A Personal Invitation to My Facebook Journey

Hello Friends and Fellow Learners,
I’m thrilled to share a special space I’ve created just for us — a Facebook page dedicated to my book, “Pedagogy of Self-Authorship: The Neurocognitive Implications of Science and Metacognition.” It’s more than just a book; it’s a conversation about our brains, our thoughts, and how we can harness them to author our own live
s.

Why I Started This Page
I believe strongly in getting the important ideas in this book out to the world. I also realized that the dialogue shouldn’t end on the last page. There’s so much to discuss, explore, and learn together about the transformative impact of approaching metacognition from a scientific standpoint. Here on this facebook page I intend to extend the conversation to a place where everyone can contribute, question, and grow.

What You’ll Find
Each week, I’ll share a 3-minute video on topics from the book. I started releasing videos on Mothers Day because I wanted to signal the profound importance I believe mothers have played in most people's development of metacognition, and to highlight that, evolutionarily speaking, it was likely that it was the bond between mothers and their children that spawned the first learning relationships in humans. In future posts I will delve the wonders of our minds and discover strategies for self-growth and learning. But it’s not just about what I have to say. My hope is to hear your voice, your experiences, and your insights around the topics of the book. So let’s support each other on this path of self-discovery and take over the world with metacognition!
