In Other Words
A vocabulary measure with domain-level profile scoring
How it works
You will see 36 words, one at a time. For each word, choose the option that comes closest to its meaning. There is no time limit, but respond at a natural pace — response time is recorded and used in the profile.
The test begins with one practice word so you can see the format. If a word is unfamiliar, make your best guess rather than skipping — an educated guess is itself informative.
The scoring model behind this test is deliberately not described until the results screen, so that knowing it cannot influence how you respond.
For examiners
All 36 items are administered — there is no discontinue rule, because the profile analysis requires a complete, balanced item set. Expect 8–15 minutes. Results include raw score, a six-domain profile with ipsative (within-person) comparison, difficulty-tier breakdown, response-time analysis, and CSV export.
