This video is about Nelson’s Model of Metacognitive Consciousness. I discuss how this model of interacting modes of consciousness produces processes of monitoring and control that connect purely cognitive processes to neurobiological processes in frontal lob and anterior cingulate. These discoveries point to the possibility of an underlining neuro-therapeutic effect involved in metacognitive behaviors and activities.
