GERTRUDE WEBB, THE LEARNING CONVERSATION, AND METACOGNITIVE PROBLEM-SOLVING

​Dr. Webb, founder of Curry’s Program for the Advancement of Learning encoded an approach to supporting student neurodiversity in the structure of the program. It has been described as a learning conversation that employs a strengths based metacognitive approach to problem solving. This program investigates the humanitarian and curricular importance of her pedagogical approach, which has found support through interdisciplinary studies into the nature of learning itself and its positive impact on students.
